Security forces in Macedonia have failed to stop hundreds of immigrants trying to cross the border between Greece and Macedonia. Desperate to stick together, families of immigrants have manages to to dismantle the Macedonian border police cordon.
Pressured by the UN refugee agency, Macedonian government stated that it has allowed for hundreds of refugees to cross the border, but shortly stopped thousands of others and caused another chaos.
Tired and desperate, a large number of immigrants pushed the police cordon, while a group of other immigrants helped them.
"Is this the Europe, where animals sleep in beds, while we are treated as animals and let to sleep in the open sky and rain", asked the 23-year old Syrian refugee, Fatima Hamido on entering Macedonia. "We were for four days in the rain, with nothing to eat".
To all the refugees, Macedonia is a transit point, in their attempt to reach EU countries. Despite the fact that Hungary has built a border fence, immigrants see a gateway to go to Germany, Sweden or other EU countries.
