ever encountered. He has dated more women than I have and has a very successful personal career. Despite all of this I and our other friends knew what he was a long time before he admitted to anything explicitly, so his announcement came as little surprise to any of us. I personally thought he was just gay, and did not expect him to actually be trans. The most interesting thing about him/her is that now that he is a she, she is dating a genetically female person who is transitioning to male, so technically they are both trans heterosexual, which to be honest is quite fascinating. The more I age the more different types of people I have encountered, and I have come to the realization that human sexuality is quite far from a strictly binary separation. There are people that are totally heterosexual or totally homosexual, but then are people who occupy every shade in between those poles. I have even met a person who told me that even though he is married, he is essentially asexual, as in he feels no sexual attraction to men or women; he loves his wife as a person but they apparently don't have sex very often.
