As it is, lots of jobs that need mathematical thinking are filled by Chinese or Indian mercenaries. If they stay here permanently, their ABC or ABCD children go through the US educational system and turn out the same or worse than American kids, so Silicon Valley ends up hiring more mercenaries and the cycle continues.
How do you still remember your high school math textbooks? BTW I don't think most Americans even take calculus at all.
