It is true that about the first part when Bronk wrote:"The aircraft has been the subject of heated debate in air power circles for many years as Chinese military bloggers leaked images of the various preproduction prototypes."
Then the talked about what the F-22 F-35 and J-20 were like, but that really was glossing over it.
The last part, I think he giving credit to the capability of the J-20, perhaps even praise for this aircraft, when he wrote:
"For the United States, it represents a serious threat in certain operational scenarios such as a confrontation over Taiwan or the contested Senkaku Islands."
What are these "operational scenarios"? I got no idea.
But I am sure all his friends do in think-tank-land, probably kind of knows what he is talking about.
It is the way he presented this article. If he wanted to give credit to the J-20, he basically cannot, unless he praises the F-22 even more. If he went about praising the J-20, he gonna sound like a shrill.
I really thought he is just saying what PRC being thinking all along.
If the American practice this network centric warfare, you take out the nodes. He gives credit to the J-20 as being able to function this way.
And that, how the Chinese stealth plane can ruin the network centric warfare, is something the Americans will never talk about, in case it jeopardizes funding for the military.
