Otherwise the native Amerinds would have won against Spanish/American conquest. Similarly, the immorality of the British opium-pushers does not negate the sociopolitical issues that led to mass addiction, military defeats, and eventually China's 19th-century collapse, which the country is only beginning to recover from today. Citing morality and humanity and such is almost like a character from a Lu Xun story claiming a moral victory. Fact is nobody cares about morality unless it's backed by strength. History is littered with examples of those who were in the right but were steamrollered anyways, all the way back to the Melian Dialogue.
