My impression is that white "progressives" have more say in the George Floyd protests than do actual black people.

Have you noticed how quick the white media establishment has moved to co-opt the Black Live Matter movement? They started to capitalise the term "black", when they don't do the same for "white". It's as if they are trying to grab the steering wheel of the protestors' ship.

Black people actually have very little political voice in the US, except what the white-dominated establishment allows (usually this is not for the benefit of black people, but instead so the white left can accuse the white right of racism).
