1. The way the relations are between the two countries, kind of redundant this new act, if it actually passes. This is kind of like the movies when a couple divorces and they fight like this, any petty thing will be used.2. They are playing with fire, but what the Republicans could be playing with here is their own fortunes in America. There have been suggestions that the Republican party is in trouble. Could be true. Look who is president, mainly because people rejected everything about the Republican party, the faithful rejected their leaders. There are no challengers to Trump in his party, not yesterday not today.
And they care about this instead of taking care of their own. Apparently people have to fill their car gas tank full of gas before lining up at the bread line, because they have to wait that long (what I read somewhere).
A story that refers to the breadlines.

3. Is it possible for the Republican party to collapse as a real force in politics on the Federal level in the USA? Maybe. In Canada, the conservatives have become a bit of a show side. No one really expects anything from them. I don't follow politics, so I could be completely wrong! Then again, since I do not follow politics, I think I can see the forest instead of the trees, where the trees is the usual scuttlebutt of trying to score cheap political points. Every country is different, but conservatism just feels like a spent force in Canada. Perhaps the Republicans in the USA on the Federal level is a spent force too? It is all about Trump now. Very interesting times, anything could happen.
However, China and Taiwan going to war at the moment, a real longshot IMHO.
