I have many books about Lee Kuan Yew.  In fact I am still looking at Singapore as a model including the removal of real estate from speculation to tackle homelessness, housing affordability and retriement mechanism.  I also understood the need to supress certain dissent.  I understood all of that brought Singapore to the top of the world in most metrics.  My cirtism on the current state of China in many ways came from that lens.
