While I do wish Chinese diplomats would deliver such messages more discreetly and not force the host nation into a corner, the tactic is not entirely wrong because the West equates restraint with timidity and lack of confidence. But the excessive talking is tiresome, just retaliate right after the West did something stupid and stop the ending warnings.
