and still kept coming even after they were banned. Most Chinese-Americans don't use their real family names, and many don't even know what their real names are, because they used fake documents to come over in the 1930s Great Depression. The Chinese who were pushed out of the US after the railroads were finished building (which IMO is the primary reason for the ethnic tensions at the time, there was a lot of surplus labour competing for fewer jobs) mostly either went back or immigrated to Mexico and did not leave any descendents in the US.
I suggest you take any "history" (re)written by Chinese-Americans or Asians with a grain of salt.
