There was a racist law known as "The Chinese Exclusion Act" from 1882-1942, it lasted for 60 years!

The Act has power to put Chinese people in unlimited custody without trial or legal assitance for political or criminal reasons! Subject to their racist jurisdication!

That prison was "The Angel Island" located in San Francisco bay area!  The Americans were hostile at Chinese before the emerge of Chinese comminist party!
