Apparently China is still building them.
Some time ago, I posted a video which talked about these fire-and-forget anti-tank missiles, which could also be used to hit helicopters. The presenter said that, when used on helicopters, you can't use the "top down" attack mode because the rotating heli-blades can confuse the sensor.
So, it might be possible to put moving stuff on top of a tank to disrupt the sensor of the attacking missile-- for example some coloured plastic strip blown by a fan. For amphibian tanks, spraying water mist on top might work! Different idea should be tried out.
