parts in their products. Dangling the incentives in front of them, like big orders and research funds to invent substitute to US parts. If China can replace those parts with Chinese companies products, that will be even better. In the short term, China should focus on researching and developing the substitute for US parts rather than chasing the complete substitute of foreign tech.
As for the US, I think it is time to reconsider the trade relationship with the US. Since the US is hell bent on disrupting Chinese economy, why give them ammunition in the form of market access to the US companies? Why not exclude some of their champs from Chinese market? I think China can live without Nike or Apple or Qualcomm. That will send a strong message to the US politicians.
