She left HK prior to handover, moved to Malaysia after selling everything she had in HK. Once in M'syia, couldn't find a job, used her saving to open a small grocery store, went bankrupt, and returned to HK. Still live in HK today, doing whatever jobs to survive. Now that I think about it, those who left HK prior to 97, also suffered the Asian monetary crisis in 97, in which Southeast Asian countries suffered the most. Now the "Great" Britain is facing the similar economic crisis. I wonder how many of them will survive.
History do repeat itself, huh.
