What Is Temu? Online Shopping Site Makes Its Super Bowl DebutFebruary 12, 2023
By Megan Graham
Online shopping site Temu made its Super Bowl debut as it ran an ad called “Shop Like a Billionaire.”
Temu, which sells ultra-low-price goods mostly made in China, has gained a foothold with U.S. consumers since its launch in September by Shanghai-based Pinduoduo, which changed its name this month to PDD Holdings Inc.
In under four months, Temu racked up 10.8 million installations in the U.S., according to analytics firm Sensor Tower, making it the country’s most downloaded mobile app in any category between Nov. 1 and Dec. 14.
Unlike many Super Bowl advertisers, Temu said it didn't publicize its costly ad buy before the game.

We already know how this will trigger some people. They will view this Temu as an attempt to subvert America's whole of society approach to take on China, as this is an attempt to by the Chinese at subversion to win hearts and minds by offering good deals. If the Wall Street Journal is already talking about it, we know they already are thinking about it! Touchdown!
